Administration
In August 2024, White House Intermediate offi cially became the fi rst intermediate school in Sumner County. WHI serves students in grades 3, 4 and 5 including Special Education services, EL support and a CDC program. Our faculty and staff have been eager to build traditions, strong community partnerships and student success in our new school!
I am both excited and honored to be the opening principal at WHI. At an early age, I knew I wanted to be an educator. Growing up I attended White House Elementary, White House Middle and graduated from White House High School. I received a Bachelors, Masters and Ed.S degree in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech University. After college I began my teaching career in Franklin County Schools in Kindergarten and 5th grade. An opportunity allowed me to move back home and teach 3rd grade at H.B. Williams Elementary. I was honored to be named the Sumner County Teacher of the Year in 2013.
After 11 years in the classroom, I became an Instructional Coach and the district Math Coach for two years. Following my coaching role I was appointed principal at Lakeside Park Elementary in 2017. During my time at Lakeside Park, I completed my Doctorate from Union University. In 2019, I became the principal at Station Camp Elementary. I am grateful for both school communities and all they do for our students in Sumner County!
As I enter year 22 in education, my goal is to continue serving as a leader, coach, advocate and mentor for students, teachers and our community. Our students deserve the BEST and it starts with our partnership!
I look forward to another great year at White House Intermediate!
Respectfully,
Dr. Racheal Mason
